Lenswood Apples new technology set to double capacity

Mark Goldsworthy MP was pleased to attend the launch of
Lenswood Apples’ new processing and packaging plant, saying “I am impressed by
the advanced technology installed at Lenswood Apples which will lead to more
sales, more jobs and will lead to a doubling of the current production
capacity”. The apples are photographed

Lenswood Apples was established in 1933 and currently has 24
growers in the Lenswood group, many 5th generation apple growers,
and is now one of Australia’s largest apple producers, employing 100 South
The expansion plans began in 2010, with over $6 million
invested into leading-edge production and processing technologies, an
ever-increasing range of exciting new fruit product developments, and growing
new markets, both in Australia and in high potential export markets. Lenswood has recently made further
significant investments into a juicing facility at Monarto. “Congratulations to the Board and the Grower
Members on their commitment to innovation and forward thinking to meet future
demands”, Mark Goldsworthy said.
